Hackers hold Apple to ransom in bitcoins and Ethereum

Hackers from Turkish Crime Family are announcing breaking of 300 million Apple email accounts and trying to blackmail the corporation.

Criminals demand ransom in bitcoins and Ethereum equivalent to $75000. If the company refuses to pay, lawbreakers threaten to zero out all accounts on April 7.

Proving their words, hackers provide a screenshot of their conversion with Apple security service and a video showing their entering into the hacked account. Authenticity of both evidences is still not verified.

Besides, criminals’ statements are different: one of them has informed Vice Motherboard publication about the access to data of 300 million users, while the other has mentioned 559 million, and gang’s Twitter includes only 200 million.

Apple has not given any comment yet.
